I did save the recording--there is no voice, though, so unfortunately you won't be getting any of the explanations. I will try to do another tutorial stream (during the day time) and w/ voice at some point.

My tools of choice MOSTLY include the ol water, brush, and water tools. If you do not have ol water (IAMSORRY) then you can use the brush tool or the marker tool instead. They don't blend as well, but will probably work alright.
At some point I'll save all my settings but you can find a couple of them over on the front of my dA page (username Jotaku )

Blendmodes--especially overlay (and/or multply/shade) are my best friends.
Textured brushes are also my best friend. (Specifically rough_flat, uneven_SR, and the second cross shape option)
